Any weekend hobbyist can take a chainsaw and some basic hand tools and produce a piece of log furniture.  Some companies even boast that their furniture looks like an itinerant Gypsy made it in their back yard; the more unfinished and irregular looking, the better.  We make no such claims. The Log Home Store's mission is to offer only the finest quality log furniture created by America's most talented craftsmen.

What's wrong with hobby furniture?  Unfortunately, many of those hobbyist-types seldom use old world joinery methods like mortise and tenons and dovetail joints.  Such time-tested construction techniques can mean the difference between a piece lasting a few months or lasting many lifetimes.  A poorly assembled log chair, is little more than firewood after a few months of use.  We're finicky!
